Help bring more federal dollars to the region through a collaboration for economic and workforce development.
This event will help to foster partnerships; identify points of intersection among stakeholders; facilitate systems integration, and identify and optimize resources and grants at the regional and federal levels. This event is the first step in developing a process for regional stakeholders to use in order to garner the maximum amount of federal funds.
Purpose of the Event:
Find opportunities in the intersection of various stakeholder organization efforts to improve alignment to strengthen regional impact and bring more federal funding to the region.
Goals for the Day:
- Bring regional organizations together, invite absent organizations to become involved in regional plans
- Inform and provide status on the many existing regional initiatives and resources
- Look for gaps and opportunities to fund aligned economic and workforce development programs and recovery plans
- Strengthen the regional collaboration process
- Receive feedback on Federal funding streams and learn of additional opportunities
Targeted Outcomes:
- Formulate regional structure and process for remaining connected and moving forward together as a region
- Collaborate with existing and new regional stakeholders
- Learn of new federal funding streams with regional partners
- Hear employer needs in workforce development, diversification and transition
